Rediscovering Kingdom Healing:
“In His Footsteps” is a DVD based course exploring how Jesus healed the sick. It looks carefully at the way in which He taught His disciples to do it, and explains how God’s Kingdom healing power is still available to us today through those same teachings of Jesus. The course comprises 11 DVD sessions. Course books are also available outlining the teaching in each session.
The DVD course is led by an Anglican priest the Rev. Mike Endicott of The Order of Jacob’s Well. Mike Endicott is well known as a humorous but very effective speaker, who is able to help people receive both inner healing and physical healing. He is Leader of the Order, which was inaugurated in Wales about ten years ago by its Patron, Rowan Williams (Archbishop of Canterbury) with the remit to teach and practice Christian healing.
If you think that this might be for you but it all sounds like something outside your present experience, please don’t worry, just contact David Males (01189 475 293) or Wendy Robinson (01189 478 622) for further details. They can also lend you a copy of the promotional DVD, answer your questions, and if necessary, arrange for two team members to minister to you either in church or in your own home.
Summer Retreat:
During last the summer, members of Wellspring joined with a number of other friends and colleagues from the Order of Jacob's Well for a retreat on the beautiful island of Bardsey, which is situated three miles off the North West coast of Wales. Here we were able to share and pray together, just bathing in the wonder and joy of God's nearer presence. We shared our meals and our prayers, together with our joys and our problems. There was a feeling of amazing peace and grace in the wildness and the beauty of the island. It just flowed around us to give freshness of mind and body in those quiet times when we felt the presence of God. And each day we held a Celtic Healing Service in the Hermitage Garden, to which all visitors to the island were invited. Each day we took it in turns to lead the service, or to speak at the service, or to welcome visitors. Wonderfully, the very first healing we ever saw in the Garden was to a small bird with a broken wing which fluttered into our midst shortly before the first of the healing services was due to begin. Day after day we felt the peace and grace of God flowing all around as we sat in the sunshine and worshiped Him. Surely this retreat was a very special experience.
Although it is now winter time here in the Reading and Henley area, you still have the opportunity to experience and share in the lovely Celtic Healing Service. Wellspring lead either this gentle service, or the more outgoing Christ The Healer service, at least once a month throughout most months of the year. It is our joy to share these services with you and we would be delighted to visit your church, or hall, or building to do so. Alternatively, we are also are able to visit people in their homes who need special prayers for healing - see the top of this page for contact information, and also page two for further details about Wellspring.
